This Rougui was harvested in spring 2019 but took many months of processing and multiple roasting before we release it for sale in 2020. The result is a wonderfully smooth and sweet tea that keeps interesting depth of flavor.
With complex notes including yanyun and prominent roasted notes this is a perfectly cozy tea that will be hard not to drink often.

Name

The name Rou Gui 肉桂 means "cassia"

Packaging

The tea comes in a tin like the one in the picture. Be careful when opening the tin: please use a tool acting as lever to open the tin instead of your nails.

Brewing Tips

We recommend saving the first infusion to have at room temperature at the end of the tea session. This way you will end on a high note and some fragrances will become more clear.
Rou Gui being so complex in flavor might be a bit tricky to brew, we reccomend to be careful of over-steeping by trying short brewing times at first.
